This is a piece I did to explore the idea of language as art.   I thought I would create a symbolic alphabet of characters that could communicate language as pictures, like hieroglphics.  The painting is acrylic on canvas, measures 36x24 inches, and has a very calming, peaceful blue background. People keep telling me that they recognize some of the characters in the glyphs, but they all came from my imagination.
