Over a ten year period, Bogdan Mihai has photographed a parallel between the image of Princess Brianna Caradja, whose aristocratic family was driven out of Romania by politics, and the city of Bucharest, which is crumbling both physically and socially. With his journalistic background, the images mirror the forgotten, ignored grandeur of both the physical and social institutions of Romania.
The photographs have been exhibited in the USA, Switzerland, and Argentina.
